Admitted to both the New York and District of Columbia Bars and a graduate of Fordham Law School, Mr. McMahon is the founding member and managing partner of Martin F. McMahon & Associates. Prior to starting his own practice in 1978, Mr. McMahon worked for Proskauer, Rose, Goetz & Mendelsohn in New York City as a litigation associate and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation in Washington, DC as senior regulatory counsel. Mr. McMahon has extensive experience in the securities industry, civil rights litigation, and has argued in over six appellate cases before the D.C. Court of Appeals and Maryland Court of Appeals. Mr. McMahon has participated in numerous speaking engagements including the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association on "Punitive Damage Awards" and as a civil rights advocate for the Practitioners of the Falun Gong. Mr. McMahon has secured over three punitive damage awards, settled matters for well over a million dollars, and set precedent by establishing the tort of malicious interference with at will employment relationship in the District of Columbia.
Mr. McMahon's significant experience in both civil and criminal litigation is the foundation upon which he founded the Transnational Business Attorneys Group, the international practice of the firm.
